I have a 2007 KTM 250 XC-W and after the 100 Miler last weekend, my brake pads were beyond shot. The metal backing on the pads ended up wearing through the metal clip where the pad ears sit and into the aluminum. I can get the aluminum part repaired/replaced fairly easily, what I am having a really tough time with is the metal clip. Does anybody know where I can get one? I don't want to spend $200 for a $0.30 item.

Also, how do you know if you need to replace the piston? I don't have any leaking issues or problems with soft brakes.

Thank you in advance.

No, I can't get it alone as an OEM part. I even called about it. You have to buy the whole caliper in order to get the silly metal clip. On the parts diagram, the metal piece I am talking about would clip into the piece on the far right side (also can't be bought seperately).
I just noticed that the picture I attached doesn't show up on mobile phones.

That stinks, you might check if the older Itilian Husky Brembo set up (pre 2014) might use the same clip. Jap bikes like Yamaha sell clips for $5-$11 depending on which one but they're not Brembo
