HHR has been a great place to have the 100 miler . Lots of good trail, great owners, easy parking. Do you think the riders will keep coming back to the same place every year ???????

I think the right marketing approach could help the 100 miler a lot. Does anyone have any hooks into the industry, i.e., Tom Webb or some of the big names in the dirt bike media industry? I think we should pitch it to them and some of the bigger names in the pro rider ranks to increase interest. Having big names and major mag coverage could raise the 100 miler to the next level. I have personally pitched the race to a buddy of mine, Mark Hausbach, who is a regional Kawasaki Motor Company rep and is well known and respected in the industry. I've known him and raced with him for years. I invited him to come out and to pitch it to the KMC riders. I don't know if the 10o miler could ever reach LMS status, but I think it could be a major event, if we could get the right folks interested... Howie

You know what the say the Third time is a charm. I know it the 100 Miler has got on the radar of a lot of riders including some Big gun's. You cant hardly beat the terrain this place has got to offer and Spud and company puts on first class one of kind event! Its the middle of summer and putting the milage markers down on water but never to tired to think about the unforgettable famous 100 Miler!

It will be tradition, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Mansfield is the perfect spot for this type event, it has all the elements close for spectators and challenges the riders to there fullest (huh Shannon). You can advertise this thing and promote it, but you really have to be careful what you wish for, it would definately have to have a rider limit, 200 would be more than you would want on the trail at one time.

Definitely a one of a kind event. My vacation day is already set even though I will probably just help work and enjoy a little spectating. It would be nice to grow the event and bring in more big guns that could make it to the night leg of the race, but Kevin does bring up a good point. Hope Ian can make it back this year with the ISDE and all. He and his dad are sure good folks and they fall right into place in SW Mo. In line with that thought, we always miss Caleb W on this weekend. Maybe he can come mix it up this year.
