I'm looking for a parted out BSA Goldstar. I'm going to participate in a new series where contestants dare to start pre 1970 European singles wearing flipflops. I've been practicing doing leglifts barefoot down at the OC. It just seems like one of those sports that is hard to cross train. I'm going to try to water ski barefoot down on the Finley. Seems like running barefoot on the fireroads out highway H between Chardwick and where it turns dirt might be something to try. I don't know. Any suggestions would sure be appreciated.

If anyone knows of an old Gold Star, maybe a Ducati or Triumph single, I'm coming into a good amount of cash on a pretrial settlement.

It doesn't need to be running because the rules state you have to "attempt" to start. It just needs lot's of compression.

seems to me the hardest thing I ever tried to kick was a early 80's model XL500...or 600...can't remember...one of those red white and blue things...man if you hesitated just a bit that auto-decompression valve would close and the kick starter would bounce back and launch your right leg clean over you head, causing your flip flop to fly off and knock the beer off of the gas tank...

I know you two are up to your usual tom-foolery, but if you get serious, I have a 1955 Norton ES2 500 single, bored and stroked with a gold star piston and Eso crank to give it the same bore and stroke as the Norton International, the precursor to the legedary Manx 500. In this configuration the ES2 is known as the "poor man's manx." The difference is the Manx has an overhead cam, whereas the ES2 is a pushrod model, known more for its torque than topend power like the Manx. Mine is in a brand new slimline (AKA Waisted), featherbed frame with a roadholder front fork, the same as the Manx. I used to roadrace it in AHRMA and WERA back in the mid 90s. I had it completely frame-off restored after blowing it to pieces in practice for the AHRMA vintage roadraces at Bike Week in 1997. It's been sitting in my shed since 2005, when I returned from Germany and picked it up from Brian Hilgal a legend in his own right in the Austrailian british bike scene. He's a custom bike builder specializing in Norton, BSA and Triumph and lives in Atlanta, GA. If you guys are anyone you know is interested, I would sell it...

Does anyone know where I can get a parted out point of sale terminal? I tried over at Price Cutter but they say they don't sell the used terminals. Any extras they have are already stolen and being used by a ring of credit card thieves here in Christian County. Of course they weren't too smart about batch processing the fraudulent transactions and now the FBI knows. Who in the world working over there at Price Cutter would do such a thing? I just can't think of anybody but maybe it will come to me.....

Well I better get back to the flip flop training. Gavel

Does anyone know how to work on a Point of Sale terminal? I think it will take someone versed in the art of electronics or someone who really, really understands computers and merchant accounts. If you happen to run across anybody that meets this descriptive, tell them a certain former Sheriff of Christian County, a few good FBI agents, the secret service and an army of Philadelphia tort lawyers are eager to go riding this weekend.
