Im very excited to say that I will be riding that weekend wih my Dad!! He used to race back in the day, and has had an itch to ride as of recently. He went with e a few years ago to St joe to ride, but rode my buddies Suzuki dual sport 225. This time I believe we are going to put him on Matts KTM250XC. I was hoping to have his 72' XL 250 ready to go, but I dont think it will happen in time. Anyway, I was hoping maybe someone else that is familiar with that area was planning on riding that weekend, so not only would we have more guys to ride with, but have a "guide" of sorts. I have never ridden there, and dont want to end up in a compromising area with my father on an unfamiliar bike. I really would like to make this weekend as enjoyable as possible, since we dont get to this often. Any other father/son combos would be great as well, he would enjoy that!! If anyone is interested in joining the ride, let me know, and well plan on where and when we can meet.

Yeah, I can't ever plan on anything for sure that far out. But I'll see how work and overtime is going that week and get back with you as it gets closer. If things have slowed down a little, I'll take Friday (30th) off. Chadwick is pretty quiet then, great time to ride.

Unfortunately, we wont be able to head down till fri afternoon, and its a 4 hour drive for us. Whats the earliest we can ride there? Im sure well want to get an early start.

Ok, so I talked to my Dad this morning. We are leaving at approx. 5:30- 6am from home. Im thinkin he wants to go straight to chadwick from here, so we will prolly be down there around 11-noon on fri. We are planning to get in as much riding as possible. We are staying at the condo in branson, so dont look for us in the campground. if anyone is coming and wants to get ahold of me, my # is 636-299-6658, just give me a holler and well do some roostin!!

Well, I've already got stuff to do Friday afternoon, so can't make it then. Will be down Saturday morning. I'll give you a call tomorrow and see what the plan is for then.
Take plenty of water. Going to be HOT there tomorrow afternoon, talking low 90's, big humidity.

was there today it is dry as a popcorn fart. even stump springs was totaly dry. there was maybe 3-4 puddels in the whole place.

In three hours riding we all drained our camelbaks (mine's 3L). Very humid with dry conditions. There has been some nice breezes blowing if you can catch them, but the water holes are not water holes. And unfortunately Jeff "FlatTire" Ott won't be there. Broke his hand in three places today, gotta have surgery within the next week. I hate that for you dude!

I feel for ya w the broken hand brotha. Ive broken my left hand twice in the last 2 years ( in the same spot no less). Let it heal correctly, your gonna need that thing in the future . Hope it heals quickly, and doesnt cost you any work.

Hey660...it is hard to convince chadwick newbies that going a little faster over all that chat and rocks is easier than going slow...but I remember my first time there...I swore i would NEVER go back!
